Christie Rose
Photographer/Painter/Muralist/Entrepreneur
Christie Rose (she/her) (also known as Wild Rose Arts) is a visual artist who focuses on experimentation, often incorporating her writing into her multimedia work. Christie graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2019, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Small Business, and a minor in Photography. Christie's passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to the community encourage underrepresented artists to connect with one another to build a more diverse local art scene. Christie’s connection to the community was rooted in her individual involvement. Since 2022, she has taken on the role of Site Director for Albany Barn, coordinating programming, exhibitions, and searches for paid opportunities for her residents.
Photography has always been the outcast in the art scene, and so has Christie. Abstract art is confusing, and so is Christie. This young artist has always found a connection with abstract/messy work because first the first time in her life; when she was creating, she had control over the chaos. The pieces Christie creates are always personal, she focuses on themes that have significantly impacted her life, such as addiction, depression, and abuse. Christie hopes that the viewer takes what they need from her work, and knows that they are never alone.
She is currently in grad school and will graduate in 2025 with a degree in Art Education.
